Hi, I am John Rivito.
I am a portrait photographer based in Tully, New York, just a short drive from Syracuse. I came to photography some years ago, shooting primarily black and white film, trying to recreate the work of the master portrait artist Yosuf Karsh. His work with light and shadow, the crispness of detail in his subject's faces, his desire to catch the "moment of truth," continue to be an inspiration to me.
